Salem Baptist Church Vision Statement:
Three basic words describe the vision of our church.
Pastor Bro Garry Hicks
Salem Baptist Church has been serving the Brandenburg, Ekron, and Irvington communities since 1884. That’s a long tradition of sharing the great news of Jesus and serving those not just around the area but the world. These traditions are deeply rooted in the Bible and it’s something that will continue for years to come. We are fully committed to teaching the truths of God’s Word and helping equip other believers to do the same. Our goals are simple:
1.) Glorify God through everything we do;
2.) Serve our community with the love of Christ
3.) Share the Gospel of Jesus with those around us
4.) Teach others to do the same by helping other Christians grow in their faith, serving along side them, and walking with our Salem family through the ups and downs of life.
You don’t have to be perfect to come visit us at Salem Baptist Church. If you’re broken, tired, stressed, confused, or hurting, this is the place for you. Each of us have struggles and we firmly believe God’s placed us here to help each other out, to lean on each other and most of all encourage one another to remain faithful to Him.
We look forward to seeing you soon. If you have questions about Salem, any of our ministries, or want to know what it means to be a follower of Christ, please contact us.
Our Mission
Under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, acknowledge God the Father as Creator and Sustainer of all things, we are a Church united by Christ in His death as well as His resurrection. We are a fellowship of believers responding to the Great Commission as set forth by Christ Himself. We seek to proclaim the faithfulness of God, to promote spiritual growth, to foster unity and fellowship, to call, equip and support leaders, and to extend the call of evangelism to all parts of the world.
Our core doctrines are defined by the Holy Scriptures believing them to be without error, authoritative and authored by the very breath of God. Our existence as the body of Christ is dependent upon the nature of and will of God the Father. It is He, along with His Son Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit who is exalted, worshiped, glorified and honored in all that we do.
